I know literally NOTHING about coding but I have a really great idea!

A mod with functioning musical instruments! I'm a HUGE music nerd and I would love for terraria to have instruments! ... um... hi starbound... EXCEPT BETTER THAN STARBOUND! An instrument mod which lets you play individual notes somehow to be able to actually do something! This would be awesome!! So, can anyone help me do something like this? I know nothing about coding but I can make sprites... So can someone help?? Also,...

so i've been playing with spirit/thorium/calamity/tremor/magic storage and reduced grinding with 2 friends for a while , working on moonlord i went afk , came back to me falling through the world idk why i magic mirrored home only to find myself unable to loot anything, so i alt f4ed out , when i opened the game again at "findings mod" i received a "terraria has stopped working" , so i tried again , same thing , restarted my pc , same thing , i uninstalled everything , reinstalled , launched...

sudently crashing at loading after having no issue?

Hello,

I've been experiencing a couple issues where some of the mods I've installed will occasionally fail to load a small file (like a texture or custom music). This will only happen the first time I reload the mods, but it gets a little tedious refreshing the mods 2 or 3 times every time I want to change things around.

Is this a common issue?

Need help with items

I have a problem with a thing which should drop the items from the another mod. If I trying to use this thing in the game it drops only items from my modification and vanilla ones but nothing from another mod.What do I have to do to make this thing work properly.

Increase max friendly NPCs

Is there something you can do to increase the max friendly NPC spawned at the same time. By that I mean that you actually relocate them into a housing. The max is at 50, and at 47 npcs doesn't move into houses anymore.

For example editing something in the terraria files ? Having installed different mods, which add tons of new NPCs it is impossible to house them all.

Low FPS Issue

I'm getting low FPS when on a multiplayer tmodloader server that is being hosted by a friend. We are playing through Steam and he has no issues. Singleplayer seems to be working fine, with consistently high FPS. On the server, though, it'll stay at around 30 then dip to about 15-20. It may be worth noting that when I'm on my inventory screen, my FPS jumps to about 40-60.

Settings:
Resolution: 1920x1080
Frame Skip: On
Lighting: Color
Multicore Lighting: 2
Quality: High
Background: On
Heat...

Hello everyone, i was playing Terraria just now and i had a good idea if someone can know how to make this into an awesome small mod that gives you the ability to spawn a floating Safe, just like the floating piggy bank from the vanilla Terraria.Image may be NSFW.

How to Downgrade Back to 1.3.4.4

It looks like it could be a while until tModLoader updates to support 1.3.5. I know there's a patch available, but it only works on Windows at the moment. In the meantime, if anyone wants to download 1.3.4.4 again, you can get it through Steam. You just need to use the steam console. I've only tried this on Linux, so I can't guarantee it'll work on others. I see no reason why it wouldn't though.

Step 1: Close Steam if it's running.

Step 2: Launch Steam with the "-console" flag....

A possible idea for a mod based around ROBLOX gear

So, I've had an idea stuck in my head for a while now, "What if there was a mod that adds various catalog/non-catalog gear from Roblox which can be crafted?", so I decided to try and share it as an (optional) idea for a mod. Roblox itself bears a lot of unique and interesting weapons, so it should be very logical that it could go together well in some kind of Terraria playthrough, right?


It won't include content like "XDDDXDDD FIDGET SPINNER" or anything regarding that...

After I defeat the Devourer of Gods, I fought the frost moon and pumpking event but somehow they didnt drop the fuel and energy. Does anyone has the same problem as mine?

Hey peeps! You may or may not know me from another mod that I worked on called The Omega Mod, which sadly died. We want to restart on making a mod for this great game, but we are met with the same problem that caused our old mod to die - our staff is super small at this point! We accept anyone that knows how to sprite or program, so if you do any of those things and would like to help us, DM me and we'll see what happens! tModLoader won't let Host and Play

I installed the most recent version of tModloader and the mods Thorium, Calamity and Terraria+. Whenever I create a world, I can play alone, but if I click host and play in it, it shows this error. Any ideas? I have download the most recent version of XNA Framework but it doesn't change anything.

Each time i try to reload Tremor for example i keep on getting this message and then disable my mod. Any one having the same problem?

The mp3 sound file at Sounds/Music/Snow2.mp3 failed to load
at Terraria.ModLoader.Mod.Autoload()
at Terraria.ModLoader.ModLoader.do_Load(Object threadContext)

Optimization Mods?

I'm running lots of mods through tModLoader, and it's been running pretty good. Though sometimes, such as during boss fights and rain, I experience lots of lag, and fps drop (And we all know that having frame skip off is terrible). Does anyone know of any optimization mods that are compatible with tModLoader? Much appreciated. Thanks.
