Custom NPC Creation
No one ever responds to these but worth a shot
Basically im trying to make a custom npc for the first time (namely because this npc will become a boss later). Finding a sprite to override so i can make the npc look how i want is easy enough
The issue though, is that the way i planned to do this was to basically overlap the npc sprite with the armor sprites that i want, so my npc looks more or less how i want it to. But there is no sitting animation (or any animation for npc gestures) that...

Will uninstalling on steam ruin my world?
I'm guessing this is the place for this... I want to uninstall and reinstall on steam to get my vanilla launcher back because i guess i deleted it at some point, but i'm scared to do it. I have almost 100 hours in my world and i'm afraid doing this will delete EVERYTHING, and i don't want to lose all that time. If i backup my world and the tmodloader folder, reinstall, and then put them back, is my world going to be okay?

Here more or less it was suggested there are only 4 slots availible but there wasn't really in-depth discussion around it and the thread is very outdated.
Has anyone after 2014 tried to make a custom liquid or have there been changes that would make it easier to create custom liquids?
Or rather, would it be possible for a relative...

Today I'd like to show you how to add your own Config/Options file to your tModLoader mod. Players will be able to edit that file to change your mod's behavior.
In this guide, I'll assume that you have at least very basic knowledge of how to make a tModLoader mod, and you already have a basic Mod class set up. You won't need too much actual C# knowledge to understand what's going on, or at least I hope so.

Mod Problems
Well so I have like 7 or so mods downloaded and I have everything updated and it seemed to work before but now when I go to reload all my mods (when it needs to be reloaded just incase you were wondering) and it gets to spirit mod and it says it cant load a certain music file and I open the logs and it says its out of memory but I'm not out of memory and I don't understand what to do. PLEASE HELP

How would I go about adding this effect to an armor piece?
Hello there!
If I would want to make a custom armor piece attract enemies when worn (like the Turtle Armor pieces), how would I go about modding this effect from scratch?
Also, this is optional, but what if I wanted the armor piece to only attract enemies that swim (Jellyfish, Sharks etc.)?

Crash Issues
I have an issue with Terraria. I have Tmodloader 0.10.0.2 on Terraria 1.3.5.3 and I have the following mods installed:
-Calamity*
-AlchemistNPC
-BossChecklist
-Fargowitas*
-FKBossHealthBar
-imkSushisMod*
-RecipeBrowser
-RockosARPGLegacy*
-SkyblockMod
The problem is that it crashes often (in the Windows Crash Report it states `APPCRASH`).Is there a way to fix the issue?
I can provide more information if needed to help fixing the issues.

Boss Music Mod Help
Ok so I'm new to the coding behind Terraria. I can read/write basic C#, but I don't know where to start with this. What I want to do is create a mod that allows me to set a unique soundtrack for each vanilla boss in the game. This way I can find music that fits the theme of the boss, without it affecting other bosses' themes. Hello all,
Before i used TModloader without any problems
Today i decided to install Tmodloader again because i was excited to try out new stuff
So installed all the mods i want but when activating all mods i was getting a .mp3 error or .png error which makes it impossible to load the mod
I did some researches.. but none of them helped. For example i tried re-installing, Enabling the mods by restarting the game

Installed tModLoader and mods. Now can't see old 'Players'.
Hi wonderful computer-gaming type folks,
Firstly I'm on a Mac.
Was hoping to install some mods for my son to play, I followed all the instructions I found online and downloaded the tModLoader and a couple of mods, I've got Terraria running through the tModLoader and it recognises the Mods I have placed in the appropriate folders, but when I go to play all our old characters have gone. Did installing the tModLoader somehow override all our old characters? or if not, how do I re-access...

Cant host modded multiplayer servers (game crashes)
Hi im new to modding terraria, but a bunch of my friends decided that we would like to try modded terraria because the base game was getting repetitive. So we downloaded tmod loader and the thorium mod from the mod browser, and it works in single player, but when I try to host a multiplayer world the game crashes and gives me this (picture attached, Error.png) hoping anyone has a solution. is this intended? it's rolling mediocre melee modifiers.

I apologize for spaghetti code, also if anyone knows a better way of doing this instead of repairing the way i am going, i would appreciate it
I am currently attempting to make a cloud in a bottle effect, but so that i can import custom effects and abilities with it, but my double jump effect, while it works, seems to go on to infinite despite me taking it straight out of player.cs of decompiled terraria.
